Will of Henry Cook Schoharie Co. NY will book #8, p. 348 Will#1867.014 (typed as written) I Henry Cook of the town of Broome in the County of Schoharie and the State of New York do make and declare this my last will and testament in the manner and four the following� viz. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Rebecca during the term of her natural life the use of the farm on which I now reside in lieu of dower, and I also give and bequeth to my six children the residue of my real estate and personnel property, after the following manner each one of the daughters to receive one half as much as each one of the sons and to my grand daughter Elizabeth daughter of my son Jonas I give and bequeth one hundred dollars the said Elizabeth's portion to be paid one year after my death after the decluse of the said Rebecca the farm on which I live to be divided among the six children according to the above arrangement I nominate and constitute and appoint Josiah T Cook and John Cook executors of this my last will and testament revoking all other and former wills by me at anytime heretofore made and it is my wish that all heirs settle this matter among themselves without any expense, in witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the twenty first day of July 1862. Cook, sole executor As Henry Cook left Rebecca Cook his widow, Susan, wife of Alfred Hulbert, your petitioner, George E. Cooke, Esther, wife of Phillip Russell, John Cook, Elizabeth, wife of Jonathan Stafford who are all of full age and reside in Schoharie County, Henry Cooke who resides in Renselaeville, Albany County, also of full age�.. Surrogate Court states that John Cook was appointed as executor to his father's Will but refused.
