Franklinton Man Passes Away Suddenly
Succumbs From Heart Attack Last Wednesday Evening While Leading Cows From
Pasture
July 15, 1926
Franklinton and vicinity has been
suddenly saddened by the death of a constant friend and a highly respected
citizen, Hiram Earls. The end came last Wednesday evening as he was leading a
cow toward home from pasture. The body was found along the roadway about ten
o'clock the same evening by Harry Stevens of Middleburgh. Dr. Rivenburgh was
called and death was attributed to a weak heart.
Mr. Earls had been in his usual good health and the
news of his death came as a great shock to all who knew him. He was sixty-nine
years of age, and had lived at the same location all his life. he is survived by
his widow and one sister, Angeline Benjamin of Middleburgh.
Funeral service was held at his late residence Sunday
afternoon at one o'clock, his pastor, the Rev. John Seaman, officiating.
Interment was made in the Middleburgh cemetery.
