WEST CONESVILLE – Mrs. Grace A. Brainerd, 74, of Bull Hill Road, West Conesville, died Monday, April 2, 1990, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 25, 1916, in Gilboa, the daughter of Dennis and Hattie (Pearsol) Bevins. She was married to Willie B. Brainerd, who survives, on Jan. 5, 1939, in Andes.

A lifelong area resident, she was a member of the Grand Gorge Senior Citizens.

Surviving, besides her husband, are three daughters, Mrs. Ted (Muriel) Kilmer of Conesville, Mrs. Roger (Paulette) Kilmer of Walton, and Mrs. Raymond (Mildred) Otten of Ballston Spa; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. William (Dorothy Anabel) Kilmer of Walton; three brothers, Raymond Bevins of Gilboa, Linden Bevins of Bloomville, and Shirlon Bevins of Walton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 1990, in the Conesville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Stephen Smith, pastor, officiating.. Burial will be in the Gilboa Rural Cemetery.

Friends may call at their convenience Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Hall Funeral Home, Stamford, where the family will be in attendance 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Contributions may be made to the Conesville Rescue Squad.

She was married to Levi Selleck about the turn of the century, and he passed away in 1910. Her third husband was W.J. Greer, who lived until 1923.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ellen Selleck of Meridale; a son, Ross Cornell of Walton; a sister, Ella Veley, 90, of Middleburg; a brother, Oscar Mickle, 92, of Stamford; 14 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
