Mrs. Gordon Shaffer

    Flora Mattice Shaffer, wife of Gordon Shaffer of North Blenheim, died at the Jefferson Hospital, Thursday evening, March 23, about 6:30 o'clock. She underwent a serious operation on Wednesday, march 15. She was forty-six years of age, and had been in poor health for several years. Mrs. Shaffer was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Mattice and was born in the town of Blenheim. She was an active member of the Reformed Church of North Blenheim and a member of the Willing Workers' Society of North Blenheim. A wide circle of friends will mourn her passing. Surviving besides her husband are her mother and one sister of Otego. Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at the house with the Rev. William R. Buitendorp of Middleburgh, officiating. Interment in Middleburgh Cemetery. Many friends and relatives from out of town were in attendance at the funeral.
