Mr. Kniffen was the eldest of a family of thirteen, was
always good natured, jolly and friendly.
At the age of fourteen he joined the Methodist church
of this village.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Charles D.
Mitchell of Johnson City and Mrs. C. L. MacBain. And also two brothers, E. Frank
Kniffen and Elliot D. Kniffen of this village.
His funeral services were held this afternoon at two
o'clock in the M. E. church, rev. A. J. Sunderland officiating. Burial in the
family plot.
