Edna VanAuken Laraway obituary

Mrs. Carver Laraway
March 1920

The death of Mrs. Edna Laraway, 26, after a short illness with pneumonia, has cast a gloom over a wide community of which the Laraway farm home near Huntersland is the center. Her death occurred last Thursday, feb. 26. With the husband, a daughter aged 6, and a son, aged 5, are left to sorrow and feel the loss of a mother’s love and care.
Mrs. Laraway was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln VanAuken of Middleburgh. Besides her parents, a sister, Ruth, resides at Middleburgh, and a brother, William, resides at Schenectady. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the home in Huntersland, the service being conducted by Rev. Peter Heller of the Middleburgh Methodist church. Burial was in the Christian church cemetery at Huntersland. The sympathy of all goes out to the motherless children and to the husband who at present is ill.
