Eliza Storms obituary
The Stevens Point Journal (Stevens Point, WI) - July 4, 1891

Eliza Storms was born June 19, 1814, at Cherry Valley, Schoharie county, N. Y., and was married to Luther Douglas, April 16, 1835, at Whites Burras, N. Y. They came to Summit, Waukesha county, Wis., 1853, where they resided seven years. They afterwards lived three years in Waupaca county, and then moved to Almond, in this county, where they have since resided up to the time of her death, June 8, 1891. Ten children were born to them, four have gone before, and six are still alive. All of her children were present at her death, but one son and one daughter. She leaves an aged husband, six children, thirty-one grand children, eight great grand children and a large circle of friends to mourn her loss. But our loss is her eternal gain, for she longed to be at rest. She was a long and patient sufferer, a devoted wife, a kind and loving mother, and a good help in time of sickness and sorrow.
