Elizabeth (Wilber) Fox obituary

Four weeks ago Mrs. Elizabeth Fox, who occupied rooms directly across the street from the M. E. church, sustained a stroke of paralysis. Monday evening, Dec. 24th, as the result of that stroke, she passed away. she had reached the advanced age of 86. The maiden name of Mrs. Fox was Wilber and she was born in the town of Fulton. her grandmother was a sister of Governor Wm. C. Bouck.

Mrs. Fox was a woman of most excellent qualities and was deeply interested in all good works. She was a faithful member of the M. E. church and an active member of the W. C. T. U. The most of her life was passed in this village and she was beloved by all who knew her. Several years ago her husband, Lewis Fox, passed away. She is survived by two sons, Frank and George Fox of New York, and three daughters, Mrs. George W. Vroman and Mrs.. A. R. Engle of this place, and Mrs. Lolette Lewis of Richmondville. Her funeral will take place Friday at 2 o'clock from the Methodist church.
