     Mrs. Emma A. More passed away Saturday, March 4, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ellsworth Almy, Middleburgh. She was the daughter of Hiram P. Betts and Louisa De Silva Betts and was born at Gilboa, Jan. 4, 1844. She and her husband moved to Middleburgh with their daughter eighteen years ago, where they spent most of the remainder of their lives. Her husband died fourteen years ago.
She was a member of the Christian Church at Broome Center and was a firm believer in this faith. She was a devoted wife and mother and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ellsworth Almy of Middleburgh, Mrs. Claude Heath and Mrs. Rose Couchman of Catskill; one son H. Mahlon More of Hudson, one sister Mrs. Harriet Youmans of Fulton, and one brother George Betts of Conesville. Funeral was held Tuesday at the home of her daughter, the Rev. George E. Price officiating. Burial in Middleburgh Cemetery.
