     The angel of death entered the Wetsell home Saturday evening Mar. 7th and took from our midst, Daniel Wetsell, a highly respected and successful farmer.
     Daniel Wetsell was born at Howe Cave March 9th 1845, the last survivor of 8 children born to William and Eliza (Wolford) Wetsell. On June 13, 1868 Mr. Wetsell was united in marriage to Miss Martha Drum of Hyndsville. They began housekeeping at Howe Cave later they moved to the Bridge and 39 years ago moved to the farm here where they have since resided.
     Both Mr. and Mrs. Wetsell were known by their pleasing, cheery disposition, yet ever ready to lend a helping hand.
     Mr. Wetsell was one of the oldest members of the Sloansville Baptist church and a faithful attendant when health permitted. In his younger years, he also was active in Christian Endeavor.
     Deceased has suffered for sometime past with heart trouble, being confined to his bed for the past eight weeks.
     Besides his aged widow he is survived by 2 sons, Frank of Carlisle, Clarence of Grosvenors Corners and four daughters Mrs. Lula Carr of Schenectady, Mrs. Frank Larkin, Sloansville, Mrs. Peter Enders of Central Bridge and Mrs. Irvine DeGroff, who with Mr. DeGroff have lived and cared for Mr. and Mrs. Wetsell for the past 19 years, also 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
     Prayer services were held at the home and funeral services on Tuesday at 2 p. m. in the Baptist church Sloansville. rev. Duessler his former pastor officiating, assisted by Rev. Douglass. Four grandsons acted as bearers, Ariel Gordon and Mrs. J. L. Duesler sand 2 selections, "Rock of Ages" and "Well never never grow old there".
     Burial in Sloansville cemetery.
