Charles S. Carter, Sr.

     Charles S. Carter, Sr., 75, of Sloansville died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 1963, at Community Hospital, Cobleskill, after a short illness.
     Funeral services were held at the Clark Funeral Home, Central Bridge. Friday, Dec. 18, 2 P.M., with the Rev. Roger FitzGerald, pastor of the Sloansville and Esperance Methodist Churches, officiating. Burial was made in the Crown Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Utica.
     Born in Utica, Dec. 18, 1888, Mr. Carter had been an engineer in the textile industry. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Stationary Engineers. He had resided in Sloansville for the past 12 years.
     Survivors are his wife, Anna Lane Carter, Sloansville; a son, Charles S. Carter, Jr., Sloansville; a daughter. Mrs. John W. Smith, Sand Point, Ida.; a brother, Dutton B. Carter, Utica; a sister, Mrs. Emma Hunneyman, Delanson, and six grandchildren.
