    Mrs. Catherine Lawyer Becker Carpenter died at the home of her son, Henry B. Carpenter of this village, on Sunday, June 21, about 6.30 A. M. Death was due to the infirmities of old age. Mrs. Carpenter was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Becker and was born ninety-four years ago in the Lime Kiln on the farm now owned by James Daniel, being one of a family of eleven children. About nine years ago she went to live with her daughter, Mrs. Charles Coppernoll of Utica and last September returned here to make her home with her son and daughter-in-law, where everything was done to make her declining years comfortable. She was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church for fifty years. She is survived by three children, Mrs. George C. Wolvan of Kingston, Mrs. Charles Coppernoll of Utica, and Henry B. Carpenter of this village. Funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the house, Rev. William Buitendorp, officiating. Burial in local cemetery.
