Wayman Family Plot

I am a frequent viewer of your website and noticed you are collecting cemetery info. I have a small obscure family plot for you. It is my maternal grandmothers family plot. Dennis Bernhardt, Waltham, MA

Located on Clauverwie Road. (also known as Bush Road) from Middleburg Main St. (going away from the river) take right on Clauverwie. Almost at the top of a hill (4.6 mi. from Main St.) is a dirt road on the left with a small new home in the field. The plot is in the clump of trees you see from the road. It is about 15 ft. or so square and chain link fenced in with a gate. It is fairly well taken care of.

Arthur R. Wayman Nov. 4, 1892 - Oct. 3, 1972
Clarence Wayman 1898-1991
William Wayman Mar. 30 1895 age 55 yrs Private Co. I 134th NY Reg.
Silia Wayman May 17, 1910 age 73 yrs 25 days

There are other small stones without marking.

I recently spoke to a nice woman who is related to the WAYMANs in this cemetery. She advises me that many of those buried in this family cemetery on Saddlemire Hill (not sure if Saddlemire Hill is right - Perhaps she meant Slaters Hill?), did not have tombstones erected, just simple fieldstones. She tells that this Family Plot is in fact full. Names that she gave me as being buried there are:

Reuben Wayman (d. 1929)
Cora Merennes (d. 1924), his wife.
Seneca Wayman (d. unknown)
Elizabeth Marie Slater his wife.

Others buried there but names not known, as field stones mark their graves.
