The following information was recorded by David and Joyce
Horney, Oct. 1979. The cemetery was on a hill on property once belonging to
Peter Posson, south of Gallupville, NY. (I superimposed a county map with a map
of Schoharie County around 1850. When we got to P. Posson homestead on old map,
we stopped a farmer and asked about a cemetery. Oh, the old Posson Family
Graveyard, its straight up that hill....
I am a descendant of Robert Forsyth and Deborah Spicer, who are
mentioned in the Zimmer Hill Cemetery record. I briefly corresponded
with Paul Nance, compiler of the Zimmer Hill listing back in the 1990's.
Robert Forsyth, Jr. and Hannah Posson moved their family to Logan
County, Illinois in 1856.
