Former Supervisor Brayman Dies At 60
Victim of Heart Disease; Masonic Funeral Will Be Held Thursday Morning
The
Middleburgh Gazette
March 28, 1934

Pine Grove, March 27.—This section was grieved and shocked when the news spread over the wires on Monday night that former Supervisor Channing Brayman had been called to rest at 8.45 that evening. He died of heart disease from which he had been suffering practically all winter, but had not been confined to the bed.
Mr. Brayman was the son of Frank Brayman and had always resided on the parental farm. He was sixty years old last May. In 1893 he married Minnie Feeck, who came to this section as a school teacher, from Fultonham. Their union had been a happy and successful one. One son, Harold, who resides in Washington, D. C., was an only child.
Mr. Brayman was an upright, honorable Christian character, well read and able to converse on practically all topics, and was keenly interested in political affairs. For many years Mr. and Mrs. Brayman have been active members of the Christian Church at Huntersland, where the funeral will be held on Thursday, March 30, at 11 A. M., in charge of the Masonic Lodge of Middleburgh of 'which he was long a member.
He is survived by his wife and son mentioned, one brother Clancey Brayman of Bainbridge, many nieces and nephews, cousins and neighbors who loved him, and friends far and near. He will be interred at Huntertsland.
