Resolutions
April 1933

WHEREAS, The Supreme Grand Master has summoned our Brother, Augustus Turner, to the Celestial Lodge on High.
RESOLVED, That Middleburgh Lodge, No. 663, F. & A. M. hereby records its appreciation of our Brother.
Augustus Turner was initiated May 26th, passed to the degree of Fellow Craft July 28th and raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason Aug. 25th, 1871. During this long period he was devoted to the principles of our Craft and his life exemplified all of the qualities which should characterize the principles of a Mason of the highest standard. He was truly a "venerable man handed down from a former generation:" however, the quality of his mind and character was so stable, kind and genial that he was a beloved companion of those who comprised the younger generation. As a citizen he was held in the highest respect by all those who knew him. He was a man of sound judgment whose advice was sought and relied upon by a wide circle of people with whom he came in contact in the varied activities of a useful life. In his passing this Lodge has lost not only one of its oldest but one of its most beloved members, one who was an honor to this Lodge.
RESOLVED, That we tender to the sons and daughters of the deceased our sincere sympathy in the loss of their noble father.
THIS RESOLUTION, shall be recorded on the minutes of the Lodge, published in the newspapers of the village of Middleburgh, and a copy thereof shall be transmitted to the family of the deceased. - Dow Beekman, Charles E. White, George E. Hanes, Committee.
