I Abraham Hallenbeck of the town of Broome in the County of Schoharie do make and ordain this my last will & testament in manner & form following. Viz I give & bequeath to my beloved wife Esther one third of my property during the term of her natural life in lieu of do-- - I give & bequeath to my sons Richard & Abraham each fifteen hundred dollars in my deed farm on which I now reside. I give & bequeath to my sons Ira, Alva, Jacob, Edward, & Henry each one thousand dollars 7 to my son Nelson one thousand & fifty dollars & to my daughters Polly & Gerviah five hundred dollars each in my other lands provided the worth of land is sufficient for the same, but if it should not be sufficient then in proportion to said sum. I give & bequeath to my son John one hundred dollars to be paid in two years after my death. i also give & bequeath to Esther Thorington daughter of my deceased daughter Gilpha one hundred dollars to be paid to her in two years after my death. The lands mentioned above are not to be divided among the above named persons untill two years after my death unless they can agree among themselves to divide it. It is my wish and desire that my wife shall remain & live on the homestead during her life. I nominate Constitute & Appoint Richard Hallenbeck & Abraham Hallenbeck Jr Executors of this my last will & testament revoking all other & former wills by me at anytime heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the twenty fourth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fifty one.

Per the matter of proving the last will & testament of Abraham Hallenbeck deceased.
Pethuel S Bruce & William H Stewart of the town of Broome in the County of Schoharie being first duly sworn in the Court do depose & say that they are subscribing witnesses to the last will & testament of Abraham Hallenbeck late of the town of Broome in the County of Schoharie deceased. Deponents further say that the said Abraham Hallenbeck the said testator did in the presence of these deponents subscribe his name at the end of the instrument which is now shown & exhibited to these deponents & which bears date on the 24th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fifty one. Deponents further say that the said Abraham Hallenbeck the said testator did at the said time of subscribing his name as aforesaid at the end of the said will declare the said instrument so subscribed & now exhibited to be his last will and testament & deponents did thereupon subscribe their names to the said will as attesting witnesses thereto at the end of the said will at the request & in the presence of the said testator & of each other & of the other subscribing witness thereto. Deponents further say that at the said time where the said testator subscribed his name to the said last will as aforesaid & at the time of these deponents subscribing their names as attesting witnesses thereto as aforesaid the said Abraham Hallenbeck was of sound mind & memory of full age to execute a will of real estate & was not under any restraint to the knowledge information & belief of these deponents. And further these deponents say not.

I Lyman Sanford County Judge of said County do hereby certify that the preceding is a true & perfect record of the last will and testament of Abraham Hallenbeck late of Broome Schoharie County deceased and of the proof & examination taken in relation to the execution & validity thereof at the time the said will was duly proven in open Court pursuant to law & the same is hereby recorded as a will of real and personal estate
Dated Middleburgh November 26, 1862.
