CHARLES WILSON of Bennington, Vermont was born in Hoosick, [Rensselaer County] NY 3/9/1828. He is engaged in farming and now has a farm of 165 acres.

His parents were Solomon WILSON and Wessie PRESTLER.

Mr. Wilson served during the War of 1812. Charles was the seventh son of a family of 11 children. The youngest is now aged 67 years, and the oldest is 81 years.

He was married 8/15/1845 to Mary WILCOX, a daughter of Steven and Pathayer WILCOX of Petersburg, [Rensselaer County] NY. They have seven children now living:

Pathayer WILSON, wife of Levi HATHAWAY, of South Adams, Mass.; Charles H. WILSON; Stephen A. WILSON; Newman WILSON of South Adams; Thomas WILSON; Burt H. WILSON; and Chester A. WILSON.
