When you know the town, city or county in New York:

If you know the county or town for the event, choose the appropriate county from the New York State main web page, and post your query at that website instead of the Unknown Locations page.

If you only know the city, but not what county that city is in, PLEASE take a few moments to took it up in an Atlas. You can also find the county by visiting the USGS Web site.
