MATTISON - In this city, April 16,
1928, Solomon W. Mattison, aged 72 years.
Friends are invited to attend
the funeral services at the family home, 196 Syracuse
Avenue, Wednesday, April 18, at
2 p.m.. Interment at Mattison Cemetery, Scriba, N.Y.
Obituary
Solomon W. Mattison, 72, for many
years a resident of the Eighth ward died late
Monday evening after an illness
of several months at his home, 196 Syracuse Avenue.
Mr. Mattison during his early years
resided at Scriba. He was a charter member of the
Ontario Lodge of Scriba and of the
West Baptist church, this city. He was one of the
best known residents of Oswego and
enjoyed the friendship of a large circle of friends
and acquaintances among whom he
was held in the highest regard. Surviving are two
sons, Frank E. Mattison, this city,
and John Mattison, of Williamsville, N. Y., one
daughter, Miss Olive Mattison, this
city.
Funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon
at 2 o'clock, the Rev. M. J. Winchester,
officiating. Burial will be
made at Mattison Cemetery, Scriba.

The funeral of Solomon W. Mattison
took place from the family home, 196 Syracuse
Avenue this afternoon at 2 o'clock,
the Rev. M. J. Winchester of the West Baptist
Church officiating. Burial
was made in Mattison Cemetery, Scriba, where committal
service was conducted by the Ontario
Lodge members of Scriba. The bearers were
Frank, John and Earle Mattison,
George Barlow, Lewis Himes, B. M. Harmon.
Note:
Solomon W. Mattison was the son of Elon G. and Almira (Moe) Mattison, grandson
of Solomon and Lydia (Himes) Mattison.

MATTISON - In this city, April
10, 1927. George B., son of Solomon W. and the late
Nellie Mattison, aged 49 years.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the
family home, 196 Syracuse Avenue,
Tuesday, April 12 at 3:30 p.m. Interment at
Scriba.
Obituary
George B. Mattison, following an
illness of but a few days George B. Mattison, 50, well
known resident of the Eastside,
died last night at the Oswego Hospital. Deceased
was born in this city, the son of
Solomon W. and the late Nellie Mattison. He was
educated in the schools here and
was for some time employed on the D. L. & W.
Trestle. Mr. Mattison had
a large circle of friends with whom he was popular and who
will regret to hear of his death.
Besides his widow and father, are
a son, Earl V. Mattison, and a daughter, Mrs.
George Barlow, Scriba; one sister,
Miss Olive Mattison, and two brothers, Frank
Mattison, South Dakota, and John
Mattison, Williamsville, N. Y.
The body was removed by Connell &
Halleck to the parents; home, 196 Syracuse
Avenue, from where the funeral will
be held Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.

of George B. Mattison took place this afternoon at the home of the family,
196 Syracuse Avenue at 3:30 o'clock, the Rev. M. J. Winchester of the West
Baptist church officiating. The bearers were J. Barlow, Earle Mattison,
Adelbert Benson and John Mattison. Burial was made at Scriba Cemetery.

MATTISON - In Scriba, on the 2nd
inst., Lydia, wife of Solomon Mattison, in the 79th
year of her age. Funeral will
take place at her late residence in Scriba, tomorrow
afternoon (5th inst.) at 2 o'clock.
