Civil War Soldiers from Town of Granby, N.Y.
CIVIL WAR SOLDIERS FROM THE
TOWN OF GRANBY, OSWEGO CO., N. Y.

Many thanks to Marie Shuman, one of our volunteers, for transcribing this list of civil war soldiers, as its most appreciated.  Marie tells me, "having recently spent a couple of days at the National Archives in Washington, I'm real tuned in to how difficult it can be to access info.  So, I'd just like to help out."

Source: Information was obtained from the "History of Oswego County, N. Y., 1789 – 1877," published by Everett & Ferriss, 1878.  For further information on any of the names, please contact the local Historical Society or Town Historian.  Military records can also be ordered from the National Archives.  If your ancestor filed for a pension, these records from the Archives could contain a lot of information on the family.
