Be it remembered, That heretofore,
to wit: on the 31st day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and seventy one, Caroline WILLIAMS, executrix named
in the last will and testament of William WILLIAMS late of the town
of Hannibal in the county of Oswego deceased, appeared in open Court, before
the Surrogate of the County of Oswego and made application to have the
said Last Will and Testament, which related to both real and personal estate
proved; and on such application the said Surrogate did ascertain by satisfactory
evidence who were the heirs at law and next of kin of the said testator
and their respective residences and said Surrogate did thereupon issue
a Citations in due form of law, directed to the heirs at law, and next
of kin, by their respective names, stating their respective places of residence
requiring them to appear before said Surrogate at his office in the village
of Mexico, in said County, on the fourth day of Oct A.D. 1871 to
attend the probate of said Will.

WILLIAMS of the town of Mexico, Oswego County, N.Y. being of sound
mind and memory and course..the ...of this ..and ..life, I herefore
make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament,
that is to say, First: After all my lawful debts are paid and discharged
I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife, Huldah C. WILLIAMS, and
to my son James G. WILLIAMS, all of my estate, both real and personal
to be equally divided between them, share and share alike. The said
above legacy to my wife is intended to be in lieu of Dower and of all stationery
previous and is to be received by her as such. Likewise, I make, constitute
and appoint my beloved wife, Huldah C. WILLIAMS to be executrix
of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills my
be made.
In witness where of I have hereunto
subscribed my name and affixed my seal, this 26th day of September in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty eight.

So the above written instrument
was subscribed by the said William WILLIAMS in our presence and
acknowledged by him in each of us and he at the same time declared the
above instrument so subscribed to be his last will and testament and
we at his request have signed our names as witnesses hereto and written
opposite our names, our respective places of residence.
