CRAHAN Family of Fulton, N.Y.

This information and the wonderful photograph of the CRAHAN family, was generously contributed by David P. Crahan.  I am researching my family name (Crahan) and have information that traces my family back to Ireland in the early 1800s. Seven brothers and sisters of my Crahan family emigrated to America during the Potato famine of 1845 and 1855 and settled in Fulton, NY.

They were born in the counties of Sligo, Galway, Kilkenny and Roscommon.  Records have shown that their name was spelled Crehan but was changed after they came to America. The "E" was changed to an "A," Crahan!

I am sending a picture of my Great, great grandfather Bryan Crahan and his
family. My best guess is the photo was taken in the 1890s. I have included the daughters married surnames.

I have more pictures and a lot of information and I am willing to share it
with anyone who is interested! Please feel free to contact me anytime.
