To all whom these presents may come Greeting:  Know ye that we William Gardner & Jacob L. Sherwood Do hereby Certify that at a meeting of a number of male persons of full age of the Presbyterian order residing in the Village of Manlius and its vicinity who have statedly worshipped with the Presbyterian Congregation and been considered as belonging thereto duly notified and convened according to the act in such case made and provided at the Franklin School House in the Village of Manlius in the County of Onondaga on the Twenty ninth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and fifteen for the purpose of incorporating and establishing a Presbyterian Society agreeable to the directions of an act entitled an act to provide for the incorporation of religious Societies passed the fifth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirteen the following persons were duly Elected by a plurality of votes to serve as Trustees of said Society to wit, Col. William Gardner, Jacob L. Sherwood, Jedediah Wood, Abijah Yelverton, Jun, Esq., James Jackson, Horace Hunt, Isaac Hall, Samuel L. Edwards & Daniel Munholland* they and their successors to be forever hereafter known and called by the name of the Trustees of "Trinity Presbyterian Society Manlius.  In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and Seals this Twenty ninth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fifteen.  Wm. Gardner.  Jacob L. Sherwood.  In presence of Samuel L. Edwards Vine Elderkin (?) being witness to the within certificate & to me well known and he upon oath having testifyed before me that the persons whose names are signed to the within Certificate are to him well known and that they signed the same and affixed their Seals to the said Certificate for the uses and purposes herein mentioned and no interlineation or erasures being therein I allow the same to be Record.  Sylvs. Tousley Judge of Onon.
