SHERMAN HOLLOW CEMETERY

Lot 91, Town of LaFayette

The Sherman Hollow Cemetery was probably given by John Everingham as the ground was part of his holding but no deed has ever been found. According to records in the Town of Otisco the victim of the first accidental death in that town was buried here, Nathaniel Dady, Jr. having been killed July 19, 1802 and brought here for burial. The earliest monument is dated 1813 and the last 1877. Status:  Unincorporated and abandoned.
