I am looking for any information on my great grandparents. Their names are, Peter Penfold and Sarah Jane ISLES. Peter Penfold was born in Lewes, Suffolk, England on Oct 24 1846 and moved to Lockport, Niagara County, New York about 1860. He met Sarah Jane Isles, born Aug. 21, 1847 in Lockport, NY. They married in Lockport in 1862. They moved to Michigan somewhere between 1862 and 1871. They had two children born in Lockport. They were; Mary Elizabeth Penfold, born 1863 in Lockport and Jemima Penfold, born 1866 in Lockport. The information that I have been told was that Sarah Jane Isles was an orphan and may have been adopted by a family with the last name of Isles. I have no other information to support this theory.
