EDMUNDS: Seeking confirmation of parents and birth for Stephen EDMUNDS (born circa 13 Nov. 1816) in or near Lockport, NY. His parents might possibly be John Lucas EDMUNDS and Hannah HOUGHTALING. He married Pauline (or Paulina) DARBY in 1842, and after moving to Ohio had the following children: Cassius, Amasa, June, Edward, Minnie, Eunice, Zala, Paulina and Ella. Records indicate that Stephen was raised in the Genesee Valley. Any assistance with this family would be greatly appreciated - Jan 2000

I need help in locating the marriage record for my husbands' ancestor JOHN
ELLIOT. He was born about 1791 and I presume in the state of New York. He
lived in Cambra (Cambrie) near Lockport . He had 4 children as follows:
Daniel b 1811
Oliver Smith b. ?
Orlin b. 15 Aug 1818 in Cambra (Cambria), County of Niagara State of New
York This info came from the Family Bible records. Cambra was probably
near Lockport.
Mary b. 1824
John ELLIOT was married to Mary SMITH daughter of Oliver SMITH and Mary
HARRIS. John ELLIOT also fought for the Americans in WAR of 1812.
Now my question is where do I write to for info on his marriage? His
marriage would likely taken place prior to the birth of his first child in
1811. With hope that the names of his parents would be included on the
record - March 2000

I am looking for any information regarding James ELTON b.1806 (CT) d.1882 and buried in North Ridge Cemetery. He married (1830) Charlotte NOBLE b.1807 (CT) d1881 and also buried in North Ridge Cemetery. The ELTONS had Theron, Mary A. Frances, Homer J., Harriett, Catherine Sophia and Caroline. Their daughter, Catherine Sophia (twin to Caroline) b. 1837 in Northridge married (1857) to Nathaniel Gamet b.1830 in Richfield, Otsego Co., NY, d.1862 Spokane, WA, buried in North Ridge Cemetery. The name GAMET is spelled many ways. In the 1860 census, Catherine is listed as Kate Gannett with daughter Florence. GAMET is also spelled GAMMETT/GAMETT.(18 April 1997)

We are searching for information concerning the family
of Martin Friedrich EWALD (1811-1886) and Johanna Charlotte
FRIEDLAND Ewald (1815-1892). We believe both Martin and
Johanna were born in Brandenburg, Prussia. Martin and
Johanna moved between 1872 and 1874 to Martinsville (North
Tonawanda) in Niagara County. At least three of Martin and
Johanna's children, their spouses and their children also
lived in Martinsville as follows:
1. Martin Friedrich EWALD (1844-1928) and Augustine
(Justine) Emilie UNVERDROSS (or VANDERVRUS) Ewald
(abt 1846-bef 1929).
2. Augusta Amelia EWALD Mundt (1848-1914) and August
Freiderich MUNDT (1844-1927)
3. Wilhelm August EWALD (1853-?) and Auguste Berta RETTIG
Ewald (1855-1898).
Martin and Johanna were living with their son Martin
and his family in Martinsville in 1875. Son Martin and
daughter Auguste Mundt and their families moved to Oceana
County, Michigan between 1884 and 1887, but the elder Martin
and Johanna, and their son Wilhelm and his family remained
in Martinsville - Jan 2000
