General Notes:
Came to Sunderland from Westfield, where he married Mary Bush. He probably
returned to Westfield in two or three years. The town granted him a home lot
20 rods wide on the East side above Samuel Scott in 1730, but he did not
remain long enough to fulfill the conditions of the grant.
