General Notes:
Settled just below the Sunderland line in Hadley; farm now occupied by heirs of Phineas Field; Rev. Soldier. July 15, 1780, the selectmen promised to pay his 20 shillings per month while in service, he having enlisted for three months. He was on guard at West Point at the time the treason and escape of Benedict Arnold, of which the soldiers were not then aware.
