The year after the fire the third Sand Hole Church was constructed. It had a Sunday School in the front and the sanctuary in the rear. This also was an imposing building.

This church stood for only 14 years, however, when it, too, was destroyed by fire on October 26, 1912.
This church was never rebuilt or replaced. It now lives only in the memory of the older resident of the community. The children and grandchildren of the former members of the Sand Hole Church will recall the site whenever they visit the graves of their forebears in the old cemetery adjacent to it and now known as the Rockville Cemetery. Among the gravestones will be found that of the distinguished pastor of more than a century ago, the Reverend Mordecai Smith, which is located just west of the site of the church which he served so faithfully.
