Warren E. Janes 
 
  Warren E. Janes, 82, of 5986 Germany Road, died Saturday evening, June 26, 
1999, at his residence. 
  He was born in Vienna, N.Y., the son of the late Wesley and Ameila Brown 
Janes, and received his education in the Verona schools, graduating with the 
class of 1934. 
  On Dec.17, 1937, Mr. Janes married Eileen Brown. She died April 29, 1968. 
On July 22, 1978, Mr. Janes married Betty Willson Snell. The couple has been 
married for more than 20 years. 
  Mr. Janes was a self-employed farmer for many years and enjoyed a career 
as a bus driver for many years with the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill School 
District. 
  Mr. Janes served at president of the Union Cemetery Assn. of West Verona, 
Past Master of the Verona Grange, and a member of the Pomona and State 
Grange. He was past Gatekeeper, Master, Overseer and assistant Steward and 
was a member of the Co-operative Extension Service for more than 50 years. 
  Surviving are his wife; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Joyce 
Janes of Bridgeport, Donald and JoAnn Janes of Camden and Terry and Lisa 
Janes of Durham, N.C., three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Howard 
Netzband of Durhamville,Faith and Michael Perry of Morrisville, and Penny 
and Dean Jones of Greenville, S.C., one step-son and step- daughter-in-law,  
Richard and Margaret Snell of Camden; one step-daughter and step-son in-law, 
Connie and Bill Lombardi of Camden; one brother, Calvin F. Janes of 
Durhamville; one sister Helen Webb of Morrisville; 21 grandchildren; 20 
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Janes was prede-
ceased by a son, Robert Janes.
