William A. 'Red' Raymond Sr. 
 
  William A. "Red" Raymond Sr., 65, of 3981 Canal Road, died Saturday, July 
10, 1999, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Utica, following a brief illness. 
  He was born January 10, 1934, in the town of Sullivan, the son of William and 
Elizabeth Harding Raymond. 
  Mr. Raymond had lived in the Canastota area most of his life, attending the 
Canastota schools. 
  He had worked for Clark's Petroleum Service for more then 40 years, retiring 
in 1994. 
  Mr. Raymond was a veteran of the Korean War, serving overseas with the U.S. 
Army. 
  He married Clara M. Ostrander on Nov.23, 1955, in Canastota. 
  Surviving are his wife; four sons and two daughters-in-law, William A. Raymond Jr., 
Robert Raymond, Edward and Beckie Raymond and Michael and Dawn Raymond, all of 
Canastota; three daughters and one son-in-law, Bonnie Wagoner of Oneida, Carol and 
Ted Atkinson of Kirkville and Donna Raymond of Chittenango; three brothers,Ronald 
Raymond of Morrisville, Barry Raymond of Oneida and Norman Raymond of Pratts Hollow; 
four sisters, Mrs. William (Beverly) Beker of Munnsville, Mrs.Jon (Karen) Westfall of 
Erieville, Mrs. Kenneth (Virginia) Ashline of Knoxboro and Mrs. Jerry (Grace) Rouse of 
Canastota; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and  several nieces and nephews.
