  Viola M. Bourne 
 
  Viola M. Bourne, 88, Oneida Towers and formerly of Bourne Road, Verona, 
died Saturday night, Oct. 2, 1999, in the Extended Care Facility of Oneida 
Healthcare Center, where she had been a resident for the past one and a half 
months. 
  She was born on June 12, 1911, in Bath, the daughter of David and Eva 
Brewer Smith. 
  Mrs. Bourne was educated in and graduated from Oneida High School. Mrs. 
Bourne was a resident of Verona before moving to Oneida in 1987. She married 
George I. Bourne on March 31, 1941, in Oneida Castle. Mr. Bourne died on June
12, 1982. 
  Mrs. Bourne was a member of the Verona Seventh Day Baptist Church. 
  Surviving are one son, Eugene L. Bourne, of Durhamville; one daughter and 
son-in-law, Marion and Joseph Davis of Verona eight grandchildren, Ernest 
Bourne, Sherry Estes, Paul Davis, Matthew Davis, Alan Davis, Diana Russo, 
Rachel Dagg and Danette Allen; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews. She was predeceased by one son, George I. Bourne, who died on Oct. 
28, 1986, and one granddaughter, Lisa K. Bourne, who died July 23, 1966.
