Thomas H. (Herb) Delaney, 69, 113 East Elm St. died unexpectedly yesterday at his home.
Born in Oneida January 16, 1890, he was the son of Patrick H. and Margaret Fitzgerald Delaney.
A life resident here, he was a retired postal carrier. He served in France during World War I and was
a charter member of Post 169, American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, the former Lillian Jones, a son, Thomas H. Delaney Jr.: two daughters, Miss
Lucille Delaney and Mrs. Margaret Thomas, all of Oneida: a brother, Edward, Jacksonville, Fla., and a
sister, Mrs. Alice Hall, Rome.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, 260 Main St. with a Requiem High
Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in St. Helena's Cemetery. Friends may call
from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorro
