Shirley L. Blowers 
 
  Shirley L. Blowers, 72, 450 Sayles Street, died Friday afternoon in the 
Masonic Home Utica, where she had resided for the past 10 months. 
  Born in Oneida Castle, on April 17, 1927, she was the daughter of LeRoy 
and Florence Austin Hansen.Mrs. Blowers was a lifelong resident of the area 
and was educated in the Oneida schools. She married Richared E. Blowers in 
1943. Mr. Blowers died on January 25, 1988. 
  Mrs. Blowers was of the Baptist faith, attending the Vernon Baptist Church, 
and was a member of the Women of the Moose, Oneida Chapter No. 272, and a 
member of the Ladies of the Owls, Oneida Nest #2210. 
  Surviving are four sons and two daughters-in-law, Richard L and Dawn 
Blowers of Durhamville, David B. Blowers of Canastota, Tim E. and Anne 
Blowers and John L. Blowers, all of Oneida; three daughters and two sons-in-
law, Nancy and Millard Balfrey of Lantana, Fla., Cynthia Blowers of Oneida 
and Barbara and Clinton Hubbard of Canastota; 15 grandchildren; nine great-
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a 
brother, William L. Hansen, on Jan. 16, 1994.
