 CANASTOTA - Rose M. Brown, 78, of, 112 Bruno Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at the Oneida Healthcare 
Center following a lengthy illness.

 She was born on April 30, 1921, in Oneida, the daughter of Patrick and Catherine McCouliff Costello. 

 Rose spent her early years in Oneida, and was a 1939 graduate of Oneida High School.  She had lived in 
Canastota since 1954. 

 She had worked for General Electric in Syracuse for 25 years, retiring in 1981. 

 Rose was a member of St. Agatha's Church. 

 She married William E. Brown on May 11, 1946, in Oneida. 

 Surviving are her husband, two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Richard Diehl and Sharon and 
Michael Noto, all of Mexico, one sister, Rita Zook of Oneida; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson;  
and several nieces and nephews.  Rose was predeceased by a brother, Michael Costello, and two sisters, 
Catherine Costello and Mary Babcock.
