BOUCKVILLE - Robert K. Howlett, 53, of Route 46, died Thursday, Jan. 20,
2000, at his home following a brief illness, with his family by his side.
He was born Oct. 4, 1946, in Oneida, the son of Walter and Mildred Fleming
Howlett. He attended Morrisville-Eaton Central School and graduated from
SUNY Morrisville in 1968. He was employed by the U.S. Post Office in Utica
for the past 18 years.
On July 13, 1974, he married Teresa Gonyea in Utica.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam Conflict.
Mr. Howlett was a member of the American Legion Post No. 54 of Munnsville and
the Brotherhood of United Postal Workers.
Surviving are his loving wife of 25 years, Teresa G. Howlett of Bouckville;
two daughters and one a son-in-law, Kelly and Eric Lewis of Madison and
Jessica Howlett of Morrisville; twin grandsons, whom he adored, Cole Eric
and Joshua Robert Lewis, both of Madison; his parents, Walter and Mildred
Howlett of Bouckville; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Dirinda and
Jack Houghton of Madison, Claudia Fleming Howlett of San Antonio, Texas and
Patricia and John Whitford of West Eaton; one sister-in-law and her husband,
Maureen and Alan Kraeger of Norwich; two brothers-in-law and their wives,
Peter and Martha Gonyea of Apalachin and Thomas and Margaret Gonyea of
Cold Brook; and many nieces and nephews.
