  Oneida - Raymond F. Van Slyke, 63, of 432 Lincoln Ave., died Sunday,  Dec. 
19, 1999, at the Oneida Healthcare Center shortly after admission. 
  He was born March 3, 1936, in Oneida, the son of Charles and Maude Van 
Slyke. 
  He married Karen Raymond Harp on Jan. 17, 1959, in Sherrill. 
  Mr. Van Slyke was formerly a truck driver for Zupan's of Canastota and also
was engaged in construction. He retired 13 years ago. 
  He was a life member of the Oneida Owls Club Nest 1606, a member of the Old
Tyme Fiddlers Association and a member of the Central New York Bluegrass 
Association. 
  Surviving are his wife, Karen, at home; two sons, Charles E. "Scooter" Van 
Slyke of Stockbridge and Edward S. Van Slyke of Wampsville; two daughters, 
Carol Burgdoff of Madison and Mrs. William (Donna) Myers Sr. of Madison; 
three brothers, Charles Van Slyke of Pratts Hollow, Kenneth Van Slyke of 
Phoenix, N.Y. and Darwin Van Slyke of Michigan; one sister, Viola Ponto of 
Sherrill; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and 
nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, John E. Van Slyke in 1960 and Garry 
Lynn Van Slyke in 1978.
