  Richard C. 'Dick' Rousseau 
 
  Richard C. 'Dick' Rousseau, 71, of 38038 Blackbird Lane, Zephyrhills, Fla.,
died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999 at Stonehedge Health and Rehabilitation Center, 
Chittenango, following a brief illness. 
  He was born on Sept, 30, 1928, in Canastota, the son of Raymond and Hazel 
Foote Rousseau. 
  Mr. Rousseau had spent his early years in Canastota, attending the 
Canastota schools. 
  He later lived in Verona for 28 years, moving to Florida in 1994. He had 
spent summers at his camp in Old Forge since 1965. Mr. Rousseau was an avid 
Lionel train collector and he loved biking. 
  He had worked for the New York State Thruway Maintenance Department for 33 
years, retiring in 1985. 
  Mr. Rousseau had been a member of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 421 of 
Oneida, the Verona Volunteer Fire Department, William Russell American Legion
Post No. 404 of Vernon and VFW Post No. 6811 of Verona. 
  He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving overseas with the U.S. 
Army. 
  Mr. Rousseau married Esther Cook on April 27, 1985, in Canastota. 
  Surviving are his wife; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Dawn 
Rousseau of Midlothian Texas, two daughters, Yvonne Wolcott of Abingdon Md. 
and Mary Aldasch of Oneida, Duane Risley and Greg Risley, both of Canastota, 
Steven and Ann Risley of Jay Fla. and Ronald and Tania McEathron of 
Canastota; one brother, Alen Rousseau of Verona; 19 grandchildren; and 
several nieces and nephews.
