WEST EATON - Roberta A. Jayne, 82, formerly Isbell Trailer Park and Crouse 
Community Center, Morrisville, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, at Community 
Memorial Hospital, Hamilton, N.Y. 
 
She was born on March 25, 1917, in Nelson, the daughter of William and Luella
Keith Francis and was educated in local schools. 
 
She was a life resident of the area. She had worked for the Nelson Cheese 
Factory, delivered the Herald American newspaper and had also worked at 
Cazenovia College at one time. 
 
She was married to James D. Rivenburgh, who predeceased her in March of 1955.
On Dec. 31, 1960, Roberta was married to Arthur Jayne in Nelson. He pre-
deceased her on Dec. 3, 1996. Mrs. Jayne was a member of the Nelson United 
Methodist Church. 
 
Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Shirley Miller and Nancy 
and Frank Markowski, all of West Eaton, and Roxana and Charles Greene of 
Camden; four sons and daughters-in-law, William and Josephine Rivenburgh of 
Hollywood, Fla, Robert and Diane Rivenburgh of Amherst, Ohio, James and Leshe
Rivenburgh of Waterville and Edward and Jill Rivenburgh of West Eaton; three 
step-children and their spouses, Grace and Richard Meddaugh of Cortland, 
Susan and Ronald Middleton of Baldwinsville and Arthur and Elaine Jayne of 
DeRuyter; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-
great-granddaughter.
