  Mrs. Melba M. Ingalls of 649 Madison st., widow of Burt Ingalls and proprietor of an art studio at the Madison St. 
address for many years, died Thursday night after a long illness. 

  Mrs. Ingalls was born in Middletown 74 years ago and had lived in Syracuse 34 years. She conducted a music, painting, and 
sculpturing studio for many years, but gave up part of her art work after her husband was injured in an accident in 1933 
which resulted in the loss of his left leg. 

  Surviving is a nephew, William McAuliffe of East Liverpool. 

  A prayer service was conducted at 7 p. m. yesterday at the rooms of Carl E. Welter after which her body was taken to the 
Mt. Hope crematory in Rochester.
