ONEIDA — Jessie Mae Jones, 94, of 218 Bates Ave., died Monday, May 10, 1999, 
at the residence of her daughter, Dolores Young, following a long illness. 
 
Mrs. Jones had been a former resident of 539 Seneca St., for more than 50 
years. 
 
She was born Sept. 30, 1904, in Canastota, the daughter of George and Sarah 
Grain Robinson. 
 
She was married to Howard A. Jones on June 29, 1929, in Canastota. Mr. Jones 
died April 5, 1999. 

She was a graduate of Canastota High School. 
 
In her early years, Mrs. Jones was employed with the Die Molding Corporation 
and the Skate Plant in Canastota. Mrs. Jones was a former bowler and was an 
avid bridge player. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of 
Oneida. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Dolores and William 
Young of Oneida and Beverly and Joseph Hickey of Rome; one sister, Margaret 
Parks of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren, Richard Young, Karen Holmes, 
Daniel Hickey, Timothy Hickey and Teri Tallarino; nine great-grandchildren; 
and several nieces and nephews.
