 SYLVAN BEACH - Jean F. Durant, 58, of 6999 Myrtle Ave., died Tuesday, Feb. 
8, 2000 in the Rome Hospital, where she had been a medical patient for the 
past two days, following an extended illness. 
 She was born on Aug. 23, 1941 in Oneida, the daughter of Kirtland and 
Isabelle Sabins Wilson. She was a lifelong resident of this area. 
 Mrs. Durant was educated in Stockbridge and Morrisville schools. She married 
Christopher Ward Durant on Aug. 24, 1957 in St. Agatha's Church, Canastota. 
Mrs. Durant was a communicant of St. Agatha's Church. 
 Surviving are her husband, Christopher Ward; three sons and one daughter-in-
law, Christopher and Jeanne Durant Jr. of Munnsville, Kirtland Durant and his 
fiancee, Angie Hall of Sylvan Beach and Bradley Durant at home; four 
daughters and their fiancees and one son-in-law, Penelope Hall and Richard 
McCormick of Sylvan Beach, Geanna Durant and Gerald Fallon of Stittville. 
Victoria Durant and Jay Edwards of Oneida and Andrea and Todd Oakes of Sylvan
Beach; one brother, Gary R. Wilson of Canastota; one sister, Mrs. Walter 
(Dolores) Resig of Morrisville; 22 grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren 
and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Curtis 
Wilson on Dec. 19, 1998.
