  Oneida - Jessie A. Smith, 86, of 226 Farrier Ave., Towers I, died Sunday 
afternoon, Dec. 5, 1999, in the Oneida Healthcare Center, where she had been 
a medical patient since Nov. 27, 1999. 
  She was born Dec. 9, 1912, in Utica, the daughter of Zena and Mary Simson 
Drake. 
  She was married to Kenneth T. Smith on Oct. 16, 1937, in Durhamville. Mr. 
Smith died Feb. 6, 1991. 
  Mrs. Smith was at one time a former resident of Burdick Avenue, Canastota.
  She had been a homemaker for most of her life and, in earlier years, was 
employed with the Albert Dam Canning Factory in Sherrill. 
  Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Albert and Vivian Smith of 
Sherrill; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sharon Lush of Oneida and Pemela 
and Cecil Perry of Herkimer; four grandchildren, Troy Youngs, Thad Youngs, 
Alan Smith and Whitney Perry; and four great-grandchildren.
