Mother And Daughter Are Childbirth Victims 
 
  Funeral services for Mrs. Iris Luce Cordell, 32, of 104 Souter St., Canastota, and her day-old daughter, 
Iris Ruby Cordell were held Friday at the E. F. Schepp and Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Martin E. Ives 
officiated. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 
  Mrs. Cordell, wife of Robert G. Cordell, died  early last Wed-nesday in the Lenox Memorial Hospital 
following the birth of her infant daughter. The infant, Iris Ruby Cordell, named after her mother, died 
Wednesday afternoon in Oneida City Hospital. 
  Surviving are the husband; four daughters, Ruby Mae, Shirley Ann, Kathy and Sharon Marie; three sons, 
Robert Glenn, George David and Michael Carl, all at home; the father of Mrs. Cordell, Grover Luce of 
Sterling; three sisters, Mrs. Carl Cor-dell of Canastota; Mrs. George Briggs of Brewerton; Miss Lomona  
Luce of Sterling; three brothers, Earl and Gerald Luce of Chittenango; and Peter Luce of Sterling, several 
aunts, uncles and cousins.
