  Genevieve R. Stone 
 
  Genevieve R. Stone died Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., 
following a brief illness. 
  She had been a resident of Canastota, N.Y., for many years before moving to
 Cortland, N.Y. and later to Florida. 
  She was born on Sept. 1, 1899, in Verona, N.Y., the daughter of Will and 
Flora Williams Hyde. 
  Mrs. Stone had just celebrated her 100th birthday. 
  She was educated in Verona schools and also attended Morrisville College. 
  On July 6, 1924, she married George W. Stone. Mr Stone died in May 1962. 
  Mrs. Stone was employed at Oneida Ltd. and was a caregiver for children. 
  She was a member of the Verona Seventh Day Baptist Church, where she held 
the distinction of being the oldest member. 
  Surviving are one daughter, Jean Houser of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; two 
granddaughters, Kim Barnes of Orlando, Fla. and Kristen Guy of Atlanta; four 
great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
