            MERRILLSVILLE 
 
  The funeral services for Giles P. Harrington were held at his late home last 
Thursday at 2 o'clock. Rev. G. B. Swimmerton of Oneida officiating and burial 
was made in Sunnyside cemetery. The bearers were, Monroe Hainsworth of 
Oneida, Harrison Rouse of Alene, Charles E. Hills of Lenox, George Moore, 
John F. Harrington and Norman Buyea of this place. The floral offerings were 
many and beautiful attesting the high esteem in which he was held by all who 
knew him. Friends in town for the funeral were, Mr. and Mrs.Stewart Harrington 
of Rochester, Mrs. Eldred Hall of Syracuse and Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Olcott of 
Oneida Castle. 
  Miss Leah Harrington who was called home on account of the death of her 
father Giles P. Harrington returned to Rome on Sunday.
