   Frank P. Raymond, 81, of 4270 Skyline Drive, died aerly Tuesday morning, Aug. 11, 
1998, at his home following a lengthy illness. 
   He was born on Aug.15, 1916, in  State Bridge, the son of William and Mable Snyder 
Raymond. 
   On Sept. 18, 1937, in Lowell, he married the former Mae Maxwell.
   Prior to his retirement in 1978, Mr. Raymond was employed with Oneida Ltd. He also 
worked at Burton Livestock of Vernon for 18 years and was part-time auctioneer in the 
Vernon area. 
   Mr. Raymond was also very active with ponies and various horse clubs in the Vernon 
area. 
   He was a member of the South Bay Chapel of Canastota, the community Associated 
Clubs of Sherrill, the Oneida Ltd. Retirement Club and the 4-H clubs in the Vernon and 
Westmoreland areas. Mr. Raymond was also an honorary member of the Vernon Center 
Fire Department. 
  Surviving are his wife; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Debbie Raymond of 
Middletown, Conn.; two daughters. Julia Hahn of Rome and Jeanne DePesquale of 
Vernon; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 
Mr. Raymond was predeceased by son, George Paul in 1938.
