ONEIDA — Franz Josef Heim, 92, 242 Chappell St. died Wednesday morning, 
March 10, 1999, in the Crouse Community Center, Morrisville, where he had 
been a patient for the past three months. 
 
He was born on June 5, 1906, in Ravensburg, Germany, the son of Heinrich and 
Josefine Seeger Heim. 
 
Mr. Heim emigrated to Canada in 1950 and settled in the Madison County area 
in 1961. He married lrmgard Schneider in Montreal, Canada, on Sept. 6, 1952. 
Mr. and Mrs. Heim moved to Oneida in 1980. 
 
For several years, Mr. Heim owned and operated farms in the Brookfield and 
Morrisville areas. While residing in Canada, he was employed with the Canada 
Brush Company in Montreal. Prior to World War II, Mr. Heim served with the 
German Marine Force and had been employed with the merchant marine. He was a 
communicant of St. Joseph's Church. 
 
Surviving are his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Anita Heim of
Morrisville and Frank and Maria Heim of Palm Beach Garden, Fla.; one daughter
and son-in-law, Sybill and William Pelowitz of Bayonne, N.J.; six grand-
children, Billy Pelowitz, Krystal Heim, Michael Heim, Matthew Heim, Kristina 
Heim and Sarah Heim; and several nieces and nephews.
