  Ethel E. Barbano 
 
  Ethel E. Barbano, 68, of 132 Lenox Ave., died Friday evening, Sept. 24, 
1999, at Upstate University Medical Center, where she had been a surgical 
patient. 
  She was born on Oct. 9, 1930, in Norwich, the daughter of Walter and 
Gertrude Misner Bushnell. 
  Mrs. Barbano was educated in and graduated from Oneonta High School. 
  She had been a resident of the area since coming from Oneonta in 1948. 
  Prior to her retirement in 1992, she was employed with Byrne Dairy, at the 
Oneida store. Mrs. Barbano was a member of the New Hope Christian Community 
Church. 
  Surviving are one son, John A. Barbano of Palmdale, Calif.; one daughter, 
Theresa M. Baker of Syracuse; one brother, Walter Bushnell of Oneonta; three 
sisters, Mrs. Robert (Janet) Kobelia of Oneida, Mrs. Joseph (Marilyn) Prignon
of Milford, Pa. and Mrs. Wayne (Margaret) Matteson of Morrisville; three 
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
